Socials

Throughout the year we organise a number of socials for the club along with joint socials with other Sport Sheffield clubs. Socials are the best way to make friends and is a great way to bond with Sabrecats from different squads!

These include fortnightly socials to ROAR at Sheffield Student’s Union, with our socials starting by visiting some of our sponsored bars such as Tiger Works and Players Bar. Some socials are just Sabrecats but for bigger socials we include pom cheer and the Sabres. These socials are often fancy dress, with some of our most popular themes including Grannies and Babies; Anything But Clothes; Pub Golf and Cops and Robbers!

As well as partying down West Street bars and at ROAR, we hold sober socials, such as trips to Doncaster Races; ice skating and regular team meals.

Each year around Easter time we head on tour with the rest of the University of Sheffield Sports Clubs for a week of fun, sun and sport! Last year we spent a great week in Porec with ILoveTour!

Twice a year we also hold joint club dinners with the Sheffield Sabres. The first of these is at Christmas and the second in May where we invite all our alumni back to Sheffield for a weekend to catch up and celebrate the success of the past year! It is a fun-packed weekend which includes the cheerleaders getting a chance to try a game of American Football whilst the footballers cheer them on and perform a routine at halftime.
